RAIL MODE

Rail transportation subjects the transport units and cargo to extremely demanding longitudinal impacts and rail authorities require shippers secure dangerous goods and general cargo. Ty-Gard DS meets rail transport of dangerous goods guidelines set forth in the EU’s RID and in the USA by The Association of American Railroads (AAR).

HIGHWAY MODE

Motor carriage of dangerous goods in the EU is governed by ADR and in the United States by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Ty-Gard meets all pertinent guidelines set forth in these documents

OCEAN MODE

The securement of dangerous goods during international ocean transportation is subject to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. That Code sets forth performance based standards. Section 7.5.2.2 of the lMDG Code. International Maritime Organizations (IMO) CTU CODE provides specific securing method recommendations and references Ty-Gard.
